Living Wage

A living wage is the minimum income an individual needs to cover the cost of maintaining a safe and decent standard of living. At a minimum, a living wage must be great enough to cover the cost of housing, food, health care, transportation, and other basic necessities. For a single adult in the city of Philadelphia, it is estimated that the living wage is about $11.50 per hour.
