An investment banker is a financial expert who helps companies make financial decisions, like selling stocks or acquiring a competitor. Last year, investment bankers at J.P. Morgan collected a total of $3 billion in fees from clients they advised. And last spring, they helped United Airlines merge with Continental Airlines, to create the world’s largest airline company.
