A Health Maintenance Organization, or HMO, is an organization that pays for health care on behalf of individuals and groups, but will only pay for certain approved services, obtained from specific physicians and hospitals. Kaiser Permanente’s HMO for seniors will pay for one flu shot each year for adults, but will generally not pay for disease screening unless you have reached a certain age.
