Credit Rating

A credit rating is an evaluation made by credit agencies of a person’s overall credit history. It is a number that many lenders use to determine if they will loan money or a line of credit to a borrower. For example, because Michael hurt his credit rating by failing to pay his telephone and credit card bills, his request for a loan to buy a new car was turned down.
