Contract Theory

Contract theory studies the problem of how people can enter into a contractual arrangement, when they have access to different pieces of information. Suppose you need urgent tutoring for your next math test. Whom should you ask for help? How should you compensate that person? How can you insure that the person won’t let you down? Solving these problems is at the heart of contract theory.
